Pastor, faith-healer, author, and television presenter Chris Oyakhilome (also known as Pastor Chris) is the creator of LoveWorld Incorporated. The business, also known as Christ Embassy is located in Lagos, Nigeria. His unique and inspiring interpretation of God’s Word has inspired millions of people around the world.

Pastor Chris: The Man

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a child of faith, nurtured by a family of faith and supported by his parents. He is the elder of three sons born to Elder T.E Oyakhilome (one of the founding members of the Assemblies for God Church in Benin City) and Angelina. Angelina was the matriarch and imprinted her faith in God to her son at an early age.

The LoveWorld ministry encompasses all members of the family. His brother Reverend Ken is the highly regarded pastor of Christ Embassy’s Houston, Texas Church and a member of Christ Embassy Central Executive Council as well as his sister, KattyWorghiren, is the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry (LMAM), where there are a number of global best-selling gospel artists.

Pastor Chris is blessed with two daughters, Charlene and Carissa Sharon. Carissa Sharon decided to follow her father’s example of sharing God’s Word to all people. The name is CSO (Community Service Organization), she is a skilled gospel artist and a member of the LoveWorld Music and Arts community.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome attended Edo College and was awarded a scholarship by Bendel State University to study architecture. He is also the recipient of an honorary doctorate from Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was where the Lord called him to serve the Lord and go into ministry.

Pastor Chris: The Mentor

The Man of God started what would become one of the largest church congregations in the world when the man was still a student at university, with the small group of prayer known as “Youth for Christ,” that eventually grew into one of one of the largest organization of its kind on campus. It would later serve as the foundation of the future Christ Embassy and LoveWorld Incorporated with millions of followers across the world.

The LoveWorld ministry was founded under Pastor Chris. It is a pioneer in satellite television, Christian TV production and programming. LoveWorldSAT was the first Christian television station that broadcast from Africa to the the world, 24 hours a day, continuously on free-to air networks. Christ Embassy is present in Pastor Chris’s homeland of Nigeria and South Africa. It also has strong representation across the United Kingdom, Canada, United States, and South Africa. The church has two Healing Schools based in South Africa. These schools are where Pastor Chris holds seasonally sessions which allow miraculous events to occur.

The Future African Leaders Foundation, (FALF), is a non-profit organization that aims to carry on the inspirational work of Pastor Chris. It is designed to identify and develop young, talented leaders. They help them prepare for a a bright future by supporting and acknowledging their extraordinary achievements. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, a fervent philanthropist and founded the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation international (COFI) that is a non profit, non-governmental organization that has the goal of helping those who are most vulnerable as well as communities within the least developed countries and regions across the globe.

The Man of God created a number of NGOs to provide vital services and bring hope to the needy, poor and uninformed. COFI has five partners who are committed to improving the living conditions in the least-served areas.

Oyakhilome COFI manages the InnerCity Mission, ICM for Children, the Volunteer Medical Corps and Trauma International Foundation (TCIF), Future Africa Leaders Foundation , and the Bible For All Mission. Each of these groups strives to improve the health and well-being of those in greatest need.

The charity also provides food to children in need. Pastor Chris believes that solid foundations of community are backed by COFI and The InnerCity Mission. This helps to promote accountability leadership and good governance.
